Dulux white has stood the test of time, remaining a timeless classic. The Most Loved Whites & Neutrals brochure (Dulux whites brochure) showcases the most popular Dulux white shades, making it easy to find the perfect colour for any home décor project. Whether you’re aiming for a cool, contemporary feel, a breezy coastal retreat, or a warm, traditional ambiance, there’s always a perfect Dulux white to suit your style.
In this article, we not only tell you what’s the most popular white colour and what’s the Australian iconic white, but also highlight the key differences between the most popular whites and neutral colours to help you make easier choices for your home decoration and renovation projects.

Every couple of years, Dulux releases a new Most Loved Whites & Neutrals brochure. In this article, we’ll also introduce these different editions brochure (2020, 2021, and 2024) and explore the key differences in the most popular Dulux white colours over time.
Dulux does not release a new edition of the Most Loved Whites & Neutrals brochure in every year. The 2020 brochure is the earliest Dulux Most Loved Whites & Neutrals brochure I kept, followed by the 2021 brochure, which remained in use for three years until Dulux published the 2024 edition. The 2024 brochure is still available at Bunnings in 2026. For example, I picked up a printed copy (printed in June 2025) from the Bunnings store at Bennetts Green, Newcastle, on the evening of 26 August 2026.
Normally, I would tell my clients, “There’s no need to worry or feel uncertain when choosing colours from the Dulux whites brochure.” No matter if it’s a new look for your bedroom or a fresh look for all rooms after a major renovation of the kitchen and living areas, simply pick up one hard copy of this brochure from the local Dulux shops or Bunnings warehouses to help you work out the color schedule for your project.

There are two types of whites: Warm Whites and Cool Whites. They had been introduced in the 2021 Dulux brochure. Warm whites and cool whites have unique undertones, and each can set a different mood within your room.

Dulux’s Most Popular Warm Whites in Sydney
Alongside the warm white favourites, compared to the 2021 brochure, the 2024 brochure introduced three new warm colours: White Beach Quarter, White Dune Half, and Berkshire White.

Dulux Antique White U.S.A: The Most Popular Warm White

The latest brochure reveals that Antique White U.S.A. has a richer, creamier tone than Whisper White and Natural White. Its beautiful warmth enhances artworks and color details, making them stand out. This perfectly balanced cream shade is simply irresistible – it’s the perfect choice for any space.
Since 2021 (or even earlier), its naturally balanced creaminess has made it increasingly popular, surpassing other cream colors. In the 2024 Dulux whites brochure, Antique White U.S.A has been recognised as the most popular warm white color.
In my personal opinion, the timeless colour Hog Bristle Quarter is a little too creamy and may not be the best choice for a modern home or a young family. For homeowners who love warm, creamy tones but want something a little more balanced than Hog Bristle Quarter, I would consider Antique White U.S.A. a very good choice.
Even though this colour has been popular for more than five years, based on my personal experience, I believe it has been a popular choice for much longer and will likely remain popular for years to come.
Dulux Whisper White: Becoming more Popular, Dulux Warm Whites

This colour is now the lightest creamy Dulux’s warm tones, and its popularity has grown, especially as many people have become quite familiar with traditional cream tones. Based on our experience, some designers describe it as a lush, warm white and consider it the perfect ivory, believing it works beautifully with all kinds of color schemes.
Dulux Hog Bristle Quarter: Yesterday’s Most Popular but Still Popular Dulux White
This color should have been the most popular cream color 20 or 30 years ago. According to the Dulux whites brochure, we can see that it is the deepest cream color on the list.

There’s something wonderfully warm and welcoming about Hog Bristle Quarter. It was a common choice for the interior walls of many older or classical houses and apartments. This timeless favourite remains a great option today, especially for those who love classic style.
Dulux White Beach Quarter: Becoming Newly Popular
White Beach Quarter is a new color in the 2024 Dulux whites brochure. Dulux says White Beach Quarter is a light and reflective neutral white, and it can be used for main walls and trims both inside and out. It’s warm, and an inviting tone can easily transform any space.
White Beach Quarter is a bit darker, less creamy colour compared to Hog Bristle Quarter, making it a popular choice for those who prefer a deeper tone without excessive warmth. This unique balance is likely why it has become such a popular option and is now featured in this brochure.
Dulux White Dune Half: Another Newly Popular
White Dune Half is another new colour featured in the 2024 Dulux whites brochure. Dulux describes it as a versatile, warm white that complements both traditional and modern styles. Its soft warmth pairs effortlessly with other colours that have warm undertones, helping you achieve a clean and vibrant look.
When compared, White Dune Half is warmer than Antique White U.S.A. and brighter than Hog Bristle Quarter. This well-balanced combination of warmth and brightness is likely what has driven its rising popularity and secured its place in this year’s Dulux brochure.
Dulux’s Most Popular Neutral Whites in Sydney
In the latest 2024 Dulux whites brochure, some colors are now categorized as Neutral Whites, including the most popular Natural White and Snowy Mountains Half. While in the 2021 Dulux whites brochure, both of these shades were still classified as Warm Whites.

Australia’s Most Iconic White Color: Dulux Natural White

Dulux designers have listed Natural White as the No. 1 of warm white colors since the 2020 Dulux whites brochure (even earlier). Now, it’s classified as the most popular neutral whites in the 2024 Dulux whites brochure. It has been used by many home renovators and interior designers, and this Australia’s most iconic white color will brighten any space and never fails to impress.
Dulux Snowy Mountains Half: Neutral White but Pairs both Warm and Cool
Snowy Mountains Half was featured on the cover of the 2021 Dulux whites brochure. It’s one of the most popular shades – a soft, slightly neutral white that pairs beautifully with both warm and cool colors. Its remarkable versatility makes it an ideal choice for use throughout the entire home-indoors and out.

Dulux’s Most Popular Cool Whites in Sydney

Dulux Vivid White
Vivid White is an ultra-pure Dulux white and is perfect for creating a clean, crisp, and contemporary look. However, in most situations, this Dulux white is the base colour to create hundreds of Dulux colors. If you’re unsure which white to good for your interior, it’s a safe option, especially for a darker interior room.
Based on our experience, many of my clients choose Dulux Vivid White for their walls because it’s a timeless option. I call it “a lazy yet smart choice.” You don’t have to worry about forgetting the color name when it’s time for maintenance after quite a few years.
However, Dulux Vivid White should not be used for both walls and woodwork at the same time. Especially, it’s not suitable for the interior with quite lot natural light or on the exterior. It would be “too much” bright .

Dulux Lexicon Quarter: The Most Popular Cool White
Five years ago, Dulux Lexicon Quarter had gained popularity and was listed on the 2020 Dulux whites brochure. And now it’s the most popular cool white in the 2024 Dulux whites brochure. If you’re looking for a modern, cool white for your home, this could be the perfect color.
Lexicon Quarter is a crisp, fresh white that works wonderfully in modern, open-plan spaces. It’s just slightly darker than Vivid White, but it creates a vibrant atmosphere that lets your eclectic artworks and furnishings really stand out. Just keep in mind, it’s a very pure white colour, so it can be quite bold.
In my experience, Lexicon, Lexicon Half, and Lexicon Quarter are the most popular colours used for woodwork in modern style houses and units, as well as walls for offices.
Dulux White on White: Very Popular for Some Time
In the 2024 Dulux whites brochure, it’s the third cool Dulux white color. A clean, minimalist white that brings energy and vitality to your home, offering your space both a timeless essence and a contemporary feel. This color may be the most suitable color for your wall or woodwork if you just want one light/cool color, but not very white, for your rooms.

Dulux’s Popular Greys & Neutrals
Dulux listed Silver Tea Set, Feather Soft, Dieskau, Winter Terrace, etc. as its most popular Greys & Neutrals in the 2022 brochure.
While in the 2024 edition brochure, over half of neutral colours listed in 2022 brochure have been removed. Silver Tea Sel, Dieskau, Winter Terrace, Silkwort, Winter Fog have been replaced by Grey Port, Hammer Grey, Grand Piano Quarter, Hog Bristle, and Vintage Beige as the timeless Neutral colours. Yes, These colors are timeless, while they are not popular any more on my personal experience.
Snow Season, Grey Pail, and Teahouse are still listed as the most popular grey colours, while over half the most popular grey colors listed in 2022 also have been removed from the 2024 brochure: Vanilla Quake, Miller Mood, Ashville, Endless Dusk, etc.
I don’t have much real-world painting experience with these popular Greys and Neutrals. However, one of my personal favourites, Dieskau, has left a lasting impression on me since I used it to paint a client’s bedroom wall many years ago. Disappointed, Dieskau was removed from the 2024 brochure.
This may indicate that these colours are not so much popular or, at least, are not considered as timeless choices. While, I still recommend to consider these listed neutrals and greys if you really want a grey color to match your carpet or tiles styles. I also recommend comparing different colour samples directly on your wall before making your final choice. This allows you to see how each colour looks in your actual space and under different lighting conditions.
